Diego Vaisberg (aka Chai) is an Argentine creative director, illustrator, and author based in Buenos Aires with over 20 years of international experience across editorial design, product development, advertising, and animation.
He is the creative director and co-founder of DGPH Studio, a visual arts collective created alongside Martín Lowenstein. The studio has collaborated with major global publishers like Penguin Random house, Usborne, Sourcebooks, Hachette, Auzou, Igloobooks and Pan Macmillan, specializing in children's non-fiction, interactive activity books, and educational encyclopedias.
His visual language features a strong fusion of geometric precision and vibrant textures, heavily influenced by classic comic books and 1990s video games. He uses simple shapes, bold colors, and striking compositions perfectly suited to capture the attention of children and young audiences. Much of his current narrative inspiration comes from his own children.
Since 2014, he has served as a professor of Illustration Design within the Illustration program at the University of Palermo (UP) in Argentina.
